Who we are
Volume Brew is a small shop at volumebrew.com that makes laser-etched brew guides to order. This policy explains what we collect when you visit or buy, and what we do with it. Questions: [email protected].
What we collect
When you order: your name, email, shipping address and phone number, what you ordered (including your design) and the amounts paid. Payment is handled by Stripe on its own checkout page; we never see or store your full card number.
When you email us: your email address and whatever you include in the message.
When you browse: the designs you set up are saved in your own browser (local storage) so they're still there when you come back. They stay on your device until you place an order. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. Our host, Cloudflare, processes basic technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
How we use it
To make and ship your order, send receipts and order updates, answer your questions, calculate and pay sales tax, and keep the business records the law requires. We don't sell your information or use it for advertising.
News and offers
Checkout has a box labeled “Keep me updated with news and personalized offers.” If it's ticked when you pay, we may send you occasional emails about new products and offers. It's your choice: untick it and we only email you about your order. If you start checkout but don't finish, we don't use your email at all. Every news email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also unsubscribe by emailing us. We'll stop within 10 days, usually sooner. We use your email for this and nothing else, and never share it with other businesses for their marketing.
Who we share it with
Only the services that run the shop: Stripe (payments, receipts and sales tax), the shipping carrier delivering your order, Google (where we keep our order records), Cloudflare (hosting) and, if you sign up for news, the email service we use to send it. Each handles it under its own privacy policy. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require, and then deleted. Emails are kept while they're useful for supporting your order.
Your choices
Unsubscribe from news emails at any time with the link in any of them. Email us to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you. We'll do it unless we have to keep something for legal or tax reasons, and we'll tell you if so. You can clear saved designs at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.
Children
The shop is for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the date at the top.
